Australian Space Research Conference
About the Conference
The Australian Space Research Conference originates back to 2001, when it was first held as a single-day workshop run at the University of Sydney. It was an idea of the National Space Society of Australia (NSSA) board of directors as they felt such an event had an important role to play in encouraging the Australian researchers actively involved in space science.
Since 2007 is has been run in partnership with the National Committee for space and Radio Science (NCSRS), who are one of the special committees established by the Australian academy of Science.
For many years it was known as the Australian Space Science Conference but in 2014 was renamed the Australian Space Research Conference (ASRC) as the organisers understood the title needed to fully acknowledge the importance of Space Engineering.
The ASRC is intended now to be the primary annual meeting for Australian researchers relating to space science and technology. The scope of the conference covers both fundamental and applied research related to space science, engineering and technologies. There is a very diverse range of topics covered at each conference.
There is now a selection of conference proceedings dating back to 2006 available to review.
